Why Apple AirPods are so popular?

Whenever you are at a public space, there is one thing you probably see AirPods. From schools to coffee shops, Airpods users are everywhere. Chances are you might be using or have considered using Airpods at one point too. But the main question is- Why are they so popular?

When the AirPods were released. They weren’t really given the warmest welcome. They were made fun of for their unconventional design, their high price and the fact that they were so easy to lose. The AirPods didn’t even have the best sound quality(even though they are pretty good) and you could probably get a good pair of wired headphones at the time that would sound much better and also never need charging.

The AirPods had one of the worst starts that any Apple product ever had. The AirPods though offered that beautiful, seamless, magical experience that Apple is known for though, and with the increase in iPhone users, the AirPods became the perfect addition to the iPhone. The other reason the AirPods were successful was the charging case, as a standalone product, the Airpods could deliver only 5 hours of battery life, but by using the case as a portable charger, some users could get up to 24 hours out of the AirPods, which took the market by storm. They gave 3 hours of battery life with a 15-minute charge and were perfect for frequent travellers, or those that had long commutes to work and school. The biggest feature though, was, that they were truly wireless, with no wires between the earpieces. But even though they were truly wireless, they still were perfectly synchronized which was unheard of at the time.

And as we all know today, the lack of wires had its own benefits. Not having to worry about a cable dangling while working out, and being able to walk around during a meeting with the earbuds still in our ears but our computer still on the desk. The conveniences put the AirPods in a new class and thus everyone wanted a pair and because they proved to be excellent, the AirPods are still popular today.
