Apple just released this year’s new iPhones, and while on the surface they look very similar, there is a lot of change within.

The designs of the new 13’s are almost identical to their predecessors, with the exception of a new camera layout in the iPhone 13mini and 13, a smaller notch and a slightly thicker chassis. The 13 and 13 mini come in Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight and (PRODUCT)RED and the 13pro and 13 Pro Max come in Silver, Gold, Graphite and Sierra Blue; the latter replacing Sierra Blue which featured last year’s 12 pro models.

There are slight changes to the display, with a higher max brightness of 1200 nits on all models now, along with Super Retina XDR Displays and more pixels per inch. On the pro front, a 120Hz long-awaited display has finally been introduced, which has been coupled with adapted refresh rates to preserve battery life. Battery life itself has also gotten much better with models like the 13mini being able to hold 1. 5hours more, and the 13 2.5 hours more than their respective predecessors.

All models feature the new A-15 Bionic chip, with a 6-core CPU and 5 core GPU on the Pros and a 6-core CPU and a 4 core GPU on the 13 and 13 mini. There’s also a 16 core neural engine. (This just means that the new iPhone is VERY FAST.)

Then there are the new camera features, with a new diagonal set up on the 13 and 13mini. The Pros now get 3x optical zoom on both Pro models as well as bigger sensors allowing more light to enter, which allows better night photography capabilities. Cinematic Mode is probably the biggest game-changer this year, which now allows the user to change focus and artistically blur the background while editing the video.

Overall, the new phones don’t look too different on the outside, but definitely pack a punch on the inside. With a smaller notch, better cameras, and cinematic mode. The new iPhones are 100% some of the best phones you can buy!
